This is bullshit and if you ever cross the street in New York, you should be outraged.
Or bicycle anywhere. The NYPD tickets cyclists at twice the rate as motorists. Not only do you have to worry about a semi going 50mph down Flushing Avenue as a cyclist - you have to worry about the cops ticketing you for walking your bike on a sidewalk (yes, I’ve seen this happen - dude was walking the bike, got cited for riding on the sidewalk).
