Hey, this is cool: BMW has been experimenting with flexible skins for cars. This video highlights the GINA (“Geometry and functions In ‘N’ Adaptations”), a car that wears a flexible skin instead of heavy and resource-intensive body panels. It can change its shape: the video shows a spoiler extending and retracting, headrests appearing and sinking back into the seating, and headlights that open like eyes.
