My love affair with space began before I got this set - my older siblings had a few of the really old sci-fi sets.

I grew up watching PBS and ST:TNG. I remember watching Cosmos at a young age; I recently re-watched it on Netflix, and it’s still charmingly inspirational.

But this set was awesome. The shuttle bay could open - and it had a movable boom inside. The cockpit opened, and you could place a minifig inside. I loved it dearly.
